the only way you can permenantly slow down your metabolism is through medication (if you continue to take the medication permanently) or if you die....

Anorexic...yes has tremendous effects on your body for the rest of your life...but it doesn't slow down your metabolism permanently. Your body will take time to recover the tremendous shock...remeber you were starving your body so anything you eat now...it'll still think it's in starvation mode...so anything you eat will be stored until your body recognizes a pattern. Eat on a schedule....if you have the time and energy do the 6 meals a day...but it's just as sufficient as eating 3 times a day.

That is why it's so stupid that people think that if they fast they will lose weight....no....they lose water!!! and when they start to eat again it'll store all...

no there is nothing you can do to permanently slow it down. it does slow down depending on your muscle tone and of course diet and exorcise. But it does get slower as you age. Hence why its harder for older people to lose weight.
