I heard this beat in the Gym today, and Im not quite sure what it is. I aint got that many lyrics, but somewhere all I heard was "put your hands up". Its a (black) rap hit (just so I can describe it) and its got a really catchy beat. Its also got random shrieks of women going "argh" or "ahh" in the background.

Its quite famous (I presume) though from my description it does sound a bit ... . Please gimme the name of it and the artist if you have any suggestions!

that line is in tons of songs... is it a male or female artist?

The first song that comes to mind right now is Castells - Put Your Hands Up

There's also that line in a Mary J Blige song - Be Without You (but I dont think there are any shrieks in this one.... )
