u could try changing your job slightly...if you're a sw dev...maybe you could try to become like a pm? My husband started out his career as an eng and then became a pm eventually because he felt it was more "him"

If u r a brain racker, very much interested in doing R&D i would recommend to take MCA course which also seems to be in boom in many IT firms which are mostly MNC's and can give u handsome returns in future for ur skill.
