The guy hasn't even done anything worthy of writing a memior. This is an overview from amazon.com: Barack Obama, a black man raised by his white mother and grandparents, decided to journey to Kenya to learn more about his African father after receiving news of his death. This memoir is not about his father's life, but about Obama's, and he brings that home with an intimate tone rather than that of his public speeches.

Who reads this stuff anyway???

It's a political deflection... if he puts his "controversial" things like his drug use in writing, then he will be considered honest and forthright. There are a lot of people who will read this book, and vote for him in a primary. He's smooooooth... just not real stalwart in his beliefs.

Anyone so young writing memoirs of his life out for sale has the egocentrism to qualify as a presidential candidate.

Barack is like a flare.
Bright light than gone.
All this hype is not going to hold up with any kind of election.

I am not sure why/how he relates to black America. He really has little in common with the average black man.

It is all positioning. The democrats have been grooming him for quite some time.

It seems rather premature for him to write his memoirs at such a young age. I guess if people are willing to buy it why not sell it.
