There is no doubt in my mind that she is on several medications. After I saw her recent interview on You Tube some friends and I watched tapes of the entire last season. Her behavior was off to say the least. She was always cutting off Simon as soon as he started to speak. In fact,after about the 366th time she butted in we stopped counting. Not only that but the closer it got to the finale, the odder her behavior came. She started cutting off Randy and even Ryan while they were talking. She began slurring her words, at times so badly you couldn't understand her. If she wasn't slurring then she simply wasn't making any sense. She nearly fell out of her chair a few times and had to lean on Simon or Randy cause she couldn't stand up on her own.

Yes, American Idol is a reality show. But it's a reality show where you have to actually have talent to become one of the final 12. You have to be professional enough to adhere to this insane schedule for the weeks leading up to the final show. And strong enough not to crack under the extreme pressure and stress that comes along with being a contestant. But when it's all said and done the talented and remarkable people that have come out this show is undisbutable.

I'm such a fan of this show that this year I've actually changed my chemo / radiation schedule so that I won't be in the hospital or so sick from the chemo that I won't be able to watch it. Yes, I could tape it but I like to watch it live.

As far as I'm concerned it's very sad to see Paula make a fool of herself on national tv every week. With cancer there is a lot of strong pain and with that a lot of strong pain killers. But I've yet to get to the point of slurring or not making any sense. Someday soon the producers really need to see Paula for what she is, a very sick woman is desperate need of help. Because she is not only humilating herself, but she is quickly becoming a distraction as well as an embarrsment for the show. People tune into this show to hear good music, cheer and vote for their favorite finalist. Not to see how strung out Paula Abdul is going to be and how tacky she is going to act...

Yeah that videotape of her the other day was pretty bad. Where were her handlers or her manager? They should be fired. Poor Paula. I like her. But she's obviously got problems.

I love Paula, but she appeared to be on something. That wasn't lack of sleep, or being confused, she seemed high to me, like alcohol. Don't know for sure, but that was not normal behavior.
Still adore her.

I heard on the news that the one episode of American Idol everyone thought she was drunk or "on' something. But they claim it was just from her being over-tired. She has been that way in the past on some of the other shows, it sure makes ya wonder...

Oh **** yeah.. speaking from past experience.. in my younger years I did all kinds of drugs .. she is definitely on something. I would say a mixture of pain pills and alcohol.

i agree. she does have a disease/ disorder that keeps her in constant pain, and she has openly talked about her sickness (cant 'member the name). she did say that she uses pain meds to help, but i think she gives herself way too much, cause she always looks dazed, slurs her speech and she just seems too happy sometimes. maybe shes addicted to the pain pills
