hi,
i have dry lips. lip balms seem to be effective only for sometime. shall i apply lipstick over the balm will it be a remedy. thanks in advance.

Try- Mary Kay Satin Lips- works great! It is a little pricey but it gets to the root of the problem with two important steps: lip mask then lip balm. You have to remove that dead lip skin gently before applying that lip balm. Go this website:

Aquaphor Healing Ointment (drugstores) & Kiehl's Lip Balm #1 (Nordstrom's, www.kiehls.com) are the best ones I've tried.
You can pply lipstick over the balm to keep them moist, but the lipstick won't last as long.
Avoid lip balms with mint or salicylic acid. Mint can be irritating and salicylic acid is an exfoliant which can make flaking worse.

I usually use an all-natural chapstick. Then I put a tinted lip gloss over it. I never seem to have dry lips, and this always works for me. Also wear some kind of chapstick/lip gloss/lipstick during the day.

There's a lip balm (can't remember the name of it) that I get at drugstores. It's a small dk. green tube. I put it on my lips at night and in the morning my lips are very soft. Keep using it night and day if necessary. I only use it at night because I drink a lot of coffee and I don't want it getting in or on the cup. Guess you could try using lipstick over it.

Her room should not be hotter than seventy 2 stages. Use a fan or something to get the warmth out of there. do not placed lip stick on her lips. that's makeup. you should use vaseline, or Lansinoh Lanolin on her lips to help melt them up. The chilly wintry climate air is dry so what you want is a humidifier to placed some moisture into the air to help keep her lips from drying out. .

Try Vaseline petroleum jelly!!!!!
It's the best mosturizer there is! It can also take make-up off and won't clog pores or make your eyes all greezy afterwards.
Also, if you lips are dry and chapped, put lots of Vaseline on your lips than take a soft toothbrush and gently brush away the dead skin. You wanna make sure that it is a soft one, so you don't scrap your lips. Good luck

I would not use long-lasting "ever last" lipsticks, they tend to dry the lips out even more. Wear lipglosses over your lipstick and slather your lips with Vasoline every night! Vasoline is really great for dry lips.

Lipsticks are enriched with nutrients and last longer than lip balms. You might try lip stains and tinted lip gloss as well.

Lipstick will make your lips more dry. Use the lip mask from Mary Kay. It has worked for me. Good Luck to you. They also have lip mask at Department Stores.

drink more water a lack of water makes lips really dry
carmax is really good for chapped lips
dont use lip gloss thats greasy it might make ur lips look okay but in truth they actually dry out your lips chapstick the medicated one in the blue tube works well also if carmax burns (it burns if your lips are really dry and peally
WHAT EVER YOU DO DONT LICK YOUR LIPS
it also dries your lips more
but drink water take care of your insides n it shows on the outside
