I understand how you feel. My first job was doing Customer Service and I had such a difficult time that I didn't even last a year. If you are not happy, try and see if you can get another job. It doesn't make any sense if you are unhappy at work. Its not healthy. Customers usually drive me crazy. They expect you to be nice all the time like a robot and they are oftentimes very rude. My boss usually sided with the customers because he needs them for his business. I was not prepared to work in an environment like that, hence I left. I am now a secretary and I am very comfortable.

Sorry but it sounds like it goes with the territory. It really sounds like you need to quit that job. Customer Service always involves dealing with people which are usually pissed off and granted many are probably pretty ignorant to say the least. A telephone support job won't be much better maybe worst as people will probably be more likely to yell at you over the phone than in person. Suck it up. Cash your check. SAVE UP SOME MONEY. And be prepared to move on to something bigger and better when the opportunity strikes. And it will if you look for it.

You must understand that in management the customer is
the back bone of the business. and you do get to go home at the end of the day so leave work at work. However you must have the more mature attitude when dealing with the customer that is what your being paid to do or finding another job would be high on my list of to do's

you can't control your guest who come into the store.

I've worked in customer service all my life.

and if you want to keep doing that job, you have to learn how to deal with the customers and not let it get to you. It's your job to be the friendly face.

if you can't do it. then you might want to think about a different job.

Good Luck!

Your job is to deal with customers, and you don't like doing that, so really, you do not like your job. Find another one.

People are going to complain, and they are going to be a pain in your butt. Maybe if you take a class in dealing with difficult people, it will help you with your job a bit.
