My sister has been dating an older guy 56 years old divorced, she is 40 for about 3 months. He is very attractive has a nice house and two grown children. After a fight one day out of the blue he said to her maybe I'm gay that is why I don't get along with woman for very long. She says that the sex was good and there were no other indications except for the fact that he is very neat and clean and he is boarder-line OCD. Also, his ex was his High School sweetheart and my sister is the 2nd person he has ever slept with according to him. Now she is paranoid and doesnt know if she should continue the relationship.They made up after fight but hasn't mentioned anything to him yet. What should I advise her to do?

It depends if he said it while they were joking around but if he said it during or after a fight.... I'll have my doubts! If my boyfriend tells me 'maybe' he is gay then that means that he feels an attraction to other men.... To me that will mean that not only he is having an identity crisis but that "maybe" he doesn't want to be with me!
I certainly will not want to start a relationship with someone who is gonna have second thoughts about me... At 56 years old he is very well aware of his feelings and can tell the difference between liking someone or feeling attracted to someone. Maybe now because gay people are being accepted and people are more open to the idea of gay partners this gentleman doesn't feel like he has to hide his feeling any more, maybe now he is realizing that what he feels for other men is not wrong after all-
What should you tell your sister? She should sit down with this guy and find out exactly what his feelings are, my opinion is that he needs a good friend he can talk to freely and someone that will be there to support him.
By the way.. Just because a man is neat, clean and likes to take care of themselves doenst mean he is gay!!

beneficial i'm able to admit while a guy is sturdy finding. I choose I gave the impact of George Clooney. Maybe your sister has made him hope he was. On a serious note...maybe he just said that to be stupid. I doubt there is anything behind it. But if your sis is that freaked then #1...sound like she is homophobic and needs to get over that...if he is he is...who cares other than ignorant jackasses that think it is soooo evil...#2...If she is that insecure in the relationship she probably should do him a favor and just end it. I am sure he can find a woman he is better off with.

Communication is the key to every relationship. She needs to talk to him and ask why he said that. Have him explain why he would if he was just mad and did not mean it. If he does have the feeling that he may be gay, then she needs to quit wasting her time because she can not change that. But she does not need to be judgemental or upset about what he says when she asks him.

Sounds like your sister hasn't learned anything growing up in a world where relationships mean nothing. She has already given it up. If he's bi sexual, her biggest fear is HIV. Time to get checked and remember its a two year gestation period next time she wants to have sex with someone other than a husband she trusts!

It's very possible he said it out of anger and frustration. Being neat and border line OC doesn't make a man gay.

You should advise her to ask him flat out if he's gay or not. If he doesn't give a straight answer then he's probably gay or bi. It sounds to me like he just said that out of anger not meaning he was really gay.

I don't think a straight guy would say that. A guy that is straight would know they aint gay, and wouldn't even say things like that to be sarcastic or funny.
Maybe he's not gay, but he is curious..

tell her to have a good time with him.. but she needs to understand that the jury is still out on this guy. even if he's not gay he has alot of issues that she has to deal with him.. his being or not being gay is a big issue of course but i think this guy has things under the covers.
