Acting your age and being a responcible person are two different things. I know plenty 8 and 9 year olds that act more mature than most of the adult(crank heads) in my neighborhood. Also playing video games and running like a chickin with its head cut off should be the right of anyone who is able to pay all there bills. I may grow old,but I'll never grow up!!!!

Growing up is relavant to many areas of life. You can still enjoy things as long as you want, if you allow your thinking to grow and your maturity to master your decisions and not childlike fantasy's. Those only hurt you and the ones you love as you grow into positions that require proper decision making. Being childlike many times deals with love, and cheishing the things you have. You can keep things like that all your life, as long as your decisions about what to do with them grows out of you childhood stage.

You do not get a choice.
But you CAN determine HOW you are going to grow.

We certainly need to develop as people. But I don't think that we should lose our innocence completely. Its good to have a child inside if you can. People who have lost that tend to be humourless husks.
