I strongly feel a 6th grader should not wear make up. The most a girl that age should wear is a light moisturizing lipstick and clear mascara or an eyelash tint (Neutrogena makes one).

I would think in 6th grade it would be a bad idea to use very much makeup, especially since you've never worn it before. for the dry skin: use a moisturizer every night & every morning along with washing your face. I use neutrogena oil free, sensitive skin moisturizer at night & neutrogena visibly even w/ spf15 in the morning before applying any makeup. Since your lips are full, there's no real need to accentuate them with lip gloss. If you do feel like using a lip gloss then use a pale one w/ light tones.
To bring more focus to your eyes: Maybe use a light brown eye shadow in the crease of your eye & a white/ very pale eyeshadow along the bottom of your browline to make your eyes look bigger. If you feel washed out then use a little blush on the apple of your cheeks. Use a light pink or light tanish color. Don't overdo any of your makeup. Remember that less is more & makeup is meant to play up your features rather than create new ones.

Ok some people say that makeup takes away from your natural beauty, but only if you use it to cover it up. Instead, you should be using it to accentuate and bring attention to your already beautiful face! :) For example, many people think that putting on makeup means using all-over foundation, lip liner, lipstick, etc. However, I suggest that people only use cover-up, foundation, or concealor where they need it, like under the eyes, around the nose, or on zits/discoloration. Subtle blush and mascara don't disguise you, they just make your cheeks "pop" and bring more attention to your eyes.

It is fine for a sixth-grader to be interested in makeup. I would stick to a good moisturizer, and maybe use a tinted moisturizer to add a bit of color because it is really easy to put on and doesn't feel heavy. It is great to play with fun eyeshadows, like shimmery pastels, or funky lip-gloss, like berry. Just don't overload your face with color; if you use a really bright eyeshadow, don't use a really bright gloss, and viceversa. Use some brown mascara (it is less harsh on a pale face than black would be) and a touch of peachy blush on the apples of your cheeks for a special occasion. And don't forget fun toenail polish in whatever color you like, although colors such as dark blue may not look the best on some pale skins. Have fun!

It is expecially important to take care of your young skin: get good sleep, eat a variety of foods, drink a lot of water, and learn how to deal with stress; these things can affect how your skin looks!! Most importantly, stay out of the sun and don't smoke. Besides causing skin and lung cancer, these cause your skin to wrinkle and dry out over the long term, even if a tan seems to look good now.

well she really shouldnt be wearin actual make up in 6th grade. but if she really wants to then she should try earth tone foundations and light pink blushes to give to her skin not look as pale and give her skin a natural look. she should try some pink or a rosey blush on her checks to add a little more zin to it. she should wear light pink lip gloss or maybe a light pink lipstick (even though i kno she probably wont wear it.) or a gloss with some glitter. make sure she puts on enough lips gloss since she has full lips.

also if her neck and upper part of her chest is pale also, she can also put the foundation there also o it wonnt look uneven and fake.

p.s. she should at least wait until 7thgrade or later

Personally, I don't think any girl should start wearing makeup until she absolutely has to start wearing it. Natural beauty is so much better. Unfortunately, I am seeing a trend of girls and guys these days doing things much younger than they use to. It's sad that they want to grow up so fast. If she HAS to wear anything at all, maybe a little lip gloss and mascara. I would not recommend foundation at her age. It can clog the pores and cause her to have a major skin problem.

6th grade still kind of young. Doesn't need much. I'd say a lipgloss to bring out full lips would be nice for her. Just a moisturizer for dry skin-no foundation needed yet. Maybe if she'd like some mascara too.

Wow for a 6th grade, it's kinda early to start exposing the skin to such harsh chemicals. It's best to go to departmental stores and check out inexpensive brands like Maybelline, revlon etc and test them out through trial and error methods. That's usually how most make-up artists start out learning, because every face they work on is different. Good luck!

well..
she could use some liquid bronzer to warm up her fair skin and blonde hair.. some mascara (last tint would be nice for a 6th grader )and lip gloss would do too. she's still young anyway. soo.. dont overload the make up yet..

If you really want to go the make up route, ask mom. Then I would use very little, light colors best, with soft pinks.I still don"t wear allot of make even at my elderly age.My skin is still beautiful, hardly any wrinkles also. Best of luck to you.You also could ask a beauty consultant at department stores when your out shopping with mom. They have very good advice.

I would go to a Department Store and let them help you decide what colors are best for you. You dont have to buy their products. Just get the colors and if you want you can buy their products or if you want something less expensive go to a Target or somewhere. It all depends on the color of your skin. Hope this helps. have fun and Good Luck
