We constantly hear of college athletes opting out of either their Junior or Senior years to enter the Pro Draft. I've only heard of one(1) who actually went back to college during the "off season" to earn his degree; Emett Smith. How many others have done so?

Taking into account, that the child is in the middle of studying, I would suggest that he finishes his degree. As long as the child stays in shape, they can always go into the sporting world. And still make money. Even if they have not started studying, I would encourage them to get some degree or trade certificate behind them first. Many sporting stars, when they retire, get offered good positions, with lots of perks and money. But some don't, better to be safe than sorry. One must also take into account what the child wants, and point out theconsepuences of making a bad decision. Their desires do count for a lot.
