Being that white is the major race and obviously hold the majority of the money in america give you the automatic power to give to the ideology that you are superior than all other races.
Here is a perfect example. Your boss comes to you and directly or indirectly tells you that you will get a promotion because the front-runner was a minority (as he refers to them as a racial slur.). Can you not admit that even if you did not feel that way that you would have to take it because of finacial reasons.
So not to take away from your fault of being the top racist, but the system does not allow you to be nothing more than a racist.

Look at the majority of these questions in Culture. The majority of these questions are racist whites directed towards Arabs, Latinos, and Blacks

I'm white (wasn't my choice though;) and I'M NOT RACIST. Not even 1%.

'the major race'????? In the US maybe, but the world is not only USA! If white Americans are racists, that's THEIR OWN PROBLEM my friend. And personally, I can tell you that ARROGANCE is one of the main features of many white Americans; they don't only believe they're better than 'minorities', they also think they're the best ones in the whole world!!! And the rest of the world is not made of whites only;) On the other hand, there are some smart non-racist white Americans too, and those are the ones I agree with.

In my country things don't work like that: people don't get better opportunities by their skin color; if that's the case in the US, well, other than being very sad, it's also your own problem, not ours.

I'm white, I'm not American and I'm not a racist; so I guess you should make a distinction between white Americans and foreign whites, instead of distinguishing between whites in general and other races. Because, you see, for people like me, we're all the same in this world, and there's no superior race whatsoever. Peace.

I'm not sure where you get this reasoning. I'm white, but I have never been given a promotion over another person of any race just because I'm white. As for being racist, I'm not. The situations you give here are generalizations that, yes from time to time they do happen, but they are not something that happens all the time everywhere in America.

This would be like me saying that because another country has more blacks, that must mean all black people are racist because they are the majority in that country. Would you say that is correct? Are all Mexicans in Mexico racist? What about ALL cubans? Are they all racist in their own countries where they are the Majority?

This seems like it's an easy out for people to simply lump an entire group together into a group you may or may not like. Then you are "justified" in throwing the whole thing out if you don't like it and hate the people for something you generalized to begin with. Or, maybe you cling to it. Some do cling to it as a justification itself for their own hatred.

And these are the times I wish my dad would get online. lol He has been "passed over" for promotions, which were given to people in a minority. He belongs to a Union... and they have to meet a quota on minorities. My dad is Cherokee Indian, but because his grandmother was adopted by a white family, his birth cert and license say he is caucasian. Hhhmmm... does this mean he is racist towards himself? Since he is, truly, Cherokee, but because of the situation he is considered "white".

All white are rich?

THEN WHY THE HELL AM I LIVING IN SQUALAR?

And yes I can honestly say I would yurn my boss in for hate crimes against minorites,

And have you not read the government statistics.

Whites are actually a minority in the U.S. now. So shove that up your @ss.
There is always an exception, to every rule. I'm not rich, I probably will never BE rich.

And my Boss is actually black, so poo on you.

** you look at the m,ajority of the racist questions asked by white. But do you see that the MAJORITY of the answers are white people arguing acceptance?
I see it. If you don't the open your eyes and see a bigger picture,

I think that people always have the power to rise above systems--otherwise, we wouldn't be able to take responsibility for our actions, good or bad. I don't have a job--i'm a student--but if my prof used a racial slur in front of me (fortunately, it's never happened), I would be disgusted and would report him/her to my university authorities.
I think anyone who's 100% racist will have a hard time nowadays, because the world is not black and white (literally or figuratively). I have classmates and profs from all sorts of ethnic backgrounds--african-american, East Indian, South korean, hispanic...and I have friends from diff backgrounds. When I look around, there are hardly any people who are "100%" white, anyway. I mean, I'm part Native American. I guess I look white, but that's not how I think of myself.
I know I'm not 0% racist, but I'm far from 100% racist. And really, I think anyone can be racist--you don't have to be white, for God's sake.

Wow, seriously lay off the drugs. Funny thing is.....whites are fast becoming the minority.

Another point of yours that is wrong is the fact that noone gets a job because they are white. The vast majority of americans would lodge a complaint against a boss for using a racial slur and if anyone else heard it.....well.....it wouldn't be pretty.

I think you need to take a step back and see how seriously your values are going to hurt your future. One of these days you are going to realize that not only are you stupid, but your views place you in a minority that is quickly becoming extinct.

I don't live in the "system" as you refer to it. I am self-employed. I make my own money and I work with people of all races. I am a White woman married to a Hispanic man. So how do I fit into your 100% equation of being a racist?

I think your question proves that you are racist against White people.

Just because you are 100% racist does NOT mean every white person is also. That's an ignorant assumption! As to your hypothetical scenario...I would report my boss if I heard him use a racial slur (even if it meant I might not get a promotion).

I hate to break it to you but I am white and not racist and if my boss ever did that I would call the EEOC and help the black person in question sue the pants off the company!!! I can always find another job but I refuse to work for a bigot. Not to mention that the black guy would get it in the first place because of affirmative action. and when he does get it I will be happy for him.

2007-01-16 13:26:57 · answer #10 · answered by Anonymous · 2 2

Why is it that blacks get so many forms of affirmative action in every aspect of life? Asians and Arabs are minorities and they don't get any kind of preferential treatment in college admissions like blacks do. Why do American blacks have the highest standard of living in the world yet are the most whiney? Please don't pull the old "we were slaves so you OWE us" routine here because all races and nations have suffered as slaves at one time or another, it's not unique to blacks.
