Stalkingville is a place where all lost little boy and girl socks go to get away from the evil Laundro Monster. I hear they have a festival and everything. Socks that come back shouldn't be trusted as they may encourage other socks from your laundry to escape too. Keep your self very still during laundry time and you just might see the little beggars up and run away. Like aliens however we may never truly know the truth of the existence of Stalkingville.

My daugher, who is 7 yr old, has a thought on this...she believes that there are elves/faeries living in the vents....they live there so they will always be warm. lol...and that they take the sock to make clothes out of. LOL You have to give her some great credit on her immagination.
Honestly..I have always wondered about the whole sock mystery myself. 2 go in , but only 1 comes out. HMMMM......

They stick to some other clothing that you are unaware of. Mainly they stick to bed sheets or towels that get folded and tucked away in your linen closet. Then when you use them you find out there is a sock attached to it... Or they also stick to T shirts and you find them the next time you wear the t-shirt... It is a total mystery and fun when you finally find the other sock...!

I am convinced that the lint tray of the dryer is all that remains of the missing socks lol. There is always just enough to make up 1 sock!

You know what? I wish I knew the answer to that! I've always just assumed that they escape through the air duct and go to Singlesockland! I feel most sorry for the poor socks left behind after their mates leave them! lol! Tragic!
