For instance, I'll know in my mind that I have something to do, but myself just won't allow me to move on it. It seems as if things are so hard to accomplish for me even though they may be small things such as making doctors or dentists appointments. I'll say in my head, let me get up an do what I'm supposed to, but then I'll say to myself right in the same thought, I'll do it later.

Everyone has something they need to do but they procrastinate. It will always be something you do not want to do.

For example: someone may procrastinate returning a call or scheduling an interview for a job as, let's say, a truck driver. They may love the solitude of driving trucks and repel at the thought of the intimacy of an interview. In this case, one needs to push through the discomfort of the interview to get to the desirable job.

For someone else however, they may love to talk and interviews are no problem, but the thought of driving a truck is appalling. Yet this is the only job available or was made through a connection, or some other circumstance. Their heart will not be in the job so they avoid the interview. Pushing the enjoyable interview will only lead to a miserable job.

Bottom line: if you consistently procrastinate, you are likely pursuing something you really aren't into. Think about a change towards something you can be passionate about and you will be surprised with how you respond.

Case in point: my family complained that my sister was lazy after being fired from several fast food jobs. She then found a job driving horse drawn carriages and suddenly started working 80-hours weeks, driving, shoveling, cleaning, etc - hard work. Passion does amazing things.

Best wishes!

When I was younger I would agonize over the stuff that needed to be done, I would sit around for hours moaning and groaning that I had to do something, then one day, I realized, if I just got it over with, I would have so much more time to do the stuff I want to do. So it was that day that I started to shut off the procrastinator in me and just do it! And life is a bit easier.

I suffer from the same thing ... I think we need counseling and ...... some type of attitude coach that will help see things thru ... sorta like needing a fitness instructor. You could probably do aerobics yourself but ...... a coach or leader will push ya farther .

The procrastinators nightmare.
Always tell yourself that if you don't do it know, you'll have to do at least twice as mush later.
If I don't do it know nobody else is doing to do it.
If I where to die right know what would people think about me, and what I've left them with.
