Oh, I am so happy to answer this, I thought I was alone in the world - I can't stand the prat - who in God's name thinks he is funny. I love Billy Connolly, but now I have found you I want to marry you for reassuring me I am not alone!!!

Fair enough! But the world would be very depressing and boring if everyone had the same taste and liked the same thing. I like Ricky Gervais but I am surprised that he has cracked America. After all, he is no Billy Connolly.

The real man you must hear about is Karl Pilkington. This is a man who Ricky Gervais thinks is the funniest man in England. He has made me laugh so hard on the 'podcasts' that I decided to call myself after him on 'Yahoo Answers'. I get bored with writing my own name.

I sort of agree. Ricky shouldn't be as famous as he is. But I would be lying if I said he didn't make me laugh.

it is not discriminatory if it is against genuinely all of us. If somebody has MS to illustrate, definite they deserve a level of sympathy yet should not be dealt with with youngster gloves all of the time; how do you think of they might experience if that have been the case. 24/7 simpering and sympathy. As such, they deserve as plenty mikey taking as; a single white teen being portrayed as a marvelous Kevin (Harry Enfield); people who've place of work jobs being portrayed (place of work, Dilbert) as stupid, manipulative. etc. a variety occasion of the form of view in the question is the social assertion of "something approximately Mary." A key character is a character who has a psychological impairment. in the process the movie the character, whilst idiosyncratic, performs a classic likeable character. Even his pals are portrayed in a similar. there exchange into outrage. How dare the movie makers portray them as such (Having relaxing, being their established, likeable selves). like the place of work and Extras - it is the people who make the jokes, act out the discrimination who're made to look like idiots. people can not seem to work out that; in case you want to have a classic as obtainable a place in society - you would be, as you would be, the butt of jokes. no count your race, shade, creed, disablity or quirk.

It's just a different kind of funny. it's not over the top or obvious. British humor is VERY different than typical American humor.

Do you like The Office? THAT's the type of humor that Gervais is known for (since he wrote it).
