I am living my prayers. About 18 months ago I was completely and utterly depressed over a failing 18-year marriage, unemployment, family problems and health problems. I prayed constantly for good change and the ability to make those changes even though I felt destroyed. I used to beg God to help me as I felt suicidal sometimes and just had no real motivation to do anything. I tried everything I knew how to do - counseling, medications, etc..., but nothing seemed to work. I was really lost.

I met a man who had lost everything he had in Hurricane Rita and yet was cheerful and worked hard to remake his life. He became my friend and cheerleader. I was gradually able to overcome the burdens that were crushing me. I got a good job, moved to another city, got a divorce, allowed my children to live with their father, fell utterly and completely in love, changed my appearance and dress, got engaged, etc...

These were all the things that I asked God to help me attain. My wishes included a great and worthy man and good health, outdoor activity, career growth and getting my self-esteem back to normal. All of these have come to pass and my dream of literally sailing off into the sunset is within grasp. I've met my captain wonderful, he's building our dream yacht and in three years we will have sold everything and will spend our lives on the open sea. LIFE IS GRAND!

This life I have is definatly not what I had dreamed of..but I mean that in a good way. When I was younger I dreamt of buying a house, having the 2 or 3 kids, staying home with them while my husband worked a great 9 to 5 job and living my life in the same area where I grew up...well the only thing that is true to my dreams is the stay at home mom part. The buying of the house was put off to move to Germany while my husband was in the Army and deployed to Iraq. and as for the kids they just kept on coming...4 of my own and a wonderful foster daughter I love like my own. so I am not exactly living my dreams but I dont' mind one bit!

If I were, I'd be up and about trying hard so that it would not turn into a nightmare.
