I think that the Atlantic weather patterns are pulling warm air out of the Gulf of Mexico. I predict a decrease in these storms as global warming gets worse. I am not trained in this discipline however. You need to expect changes and some will be colder, hotter, wetter and dryer, but the average is rising.
We seem to be way past the safe point. The planet is not instantly at equilibrium so it takes a while before we realize the effect of the existing CO2 in the air. I expect that we will be sequestering carbon (removing it from the air) before 50 years are past to correct the atmospheric chemistry.
You should be afraid and not skeptical. Two sides of an argument does not mean you should make the proposition 50/50. Scientists are not divided, I am guessing they are 50 to 1 in favor of predicting real harm to the earth.

They just did'nt happen the way Al expected them to. But, thats the beauty of the Al Gore method of teaching. Global warming has "other" effects that can cause wildly different weather patterns, so theres a built in excuse for every weather pattern that does, or does not, happen.
Total fear mongering is all it is. A very convenient vehicle to further erode the current administration's credibility.....but who would ever want to do that? Al? Is that you?

To think human activity will directly effect our climate is the height of human arrogance. No one is disputing the fact that our planet is warmer, but to think driving a Honda civic or using a solar panel will some how miraculously reverse climate change is foolishness. "Global warming" is a political tool to push forth an agenda by a well funded & very dangerous lobby group.

That's how liberals stay in power. He's neglected to point out that while the Earth IS getting warmer, throughout Earth's history it has regularly warmed and cooled on its own. The sun is also much stronger today than it was 1000 years ago. All facts. Inconvenient ones, I guess.
