Its not fair to call them idiots, just because you know something they don't. Using that kind of rule, eveybody is an idiot to someone else in some field of specialization.
What does one do when he/she Googles and comes up with a million answers, but doesn't know enough about the subject to narrow it down so that it focuses on the answer needed, or comes up with several answers, but they are conflicting?. We who answer questions shouldn't forget that the people who ask them often know very little about the topic and/or have few skills using Google. So from that viewpoint, those who know the topic and how to use Google are giving the askers something they couldn't get by themselves.
Also, someone who is familiar with the topic can weed out from the million Google hits (or just the two conflicting Google hits) and point the asker to the one that the "expert" knows is a valid answer.
A good tool is not helpful unless it is used properly. Often, people need a guide even to use the right tools successfully.
