Only when 1 and 1 don't add up to 2. In that case I use a little thought and a calculator if necessary.

When without paper.
I usually "count" with my fingers, but I don't "add" with them.
For example:
Listing people's names, I'd say the names and put outstretch a finger for each name.
But 5+3 -- everyone knows that it's 9. Sheesh.

No, usually I add with numbers, and then I assign each finger a number and then I take the thumb and use that as the equals sign and if I need to multiply, I just CLAP!! :P

no , i work in retail so u have to be quick with adding and subtracting numbers , but however i am from australia so when i first came to the uk , working out the money was very difficult as the money is quite different
