They were working yesterday, but now nothing. I can't even open volume control. When I try to install it says "was not installed because Windows could not find objects to support." or something...
Why won't they work?

if it was OK yesterday try system restore just role back to yesterday and hay presto its like nothing was wrong

First did you do anything to the computer yesterday? Load anything new, etc. Second if you have system restore, try going back to a point in time when they were working,.

The problem is elsewhere.
Speakers themselves require no drivers to operate.
The issue is more likely with your sound card and/or its drivers.
