A championship team (well divisional champs at least) is on the auction block. When has this ever happened before?

In the past it has always been teams with poor past performance / poor attendance that have left their towns for greener pastures. Not the Chargers! All they want presumably is a shiny new stadium. So where do they go?

Riverside?
Las Vegas?
Portland?
Salt Lake City?
Santa Fe?
Stockton?

San Diego messed up, they could have kept the team in place if they would have just given the site of the current stadium to the Chargers. Now the city is stuck with a big chunk of concrete, with a light rail system connection and nobody to use it.

Wait 'til I win the lottery this weekend then it'll be the Wichita Chargers... I always wanted my own football team, so that's what I'm gonna get if I won. hehe. I don't care which team, as long as they're mine & located in Wichita, KS, I'll be their biggest fan...

San Diego is a county as well as a City. The Chargers have said on numerous occasions that they are staying in San Diego. They are in talks with only three places National City, Chula Vista, and Oceanside, all of which are in San Diego. They have already turned down numerous offers from Las Vegas. Right now, it seems most likely they will go to Oceanside, there's a municipal golf course that they want to build the site on, it's a much better area than where Qualcomm is now. From what I've been hearing, the city plans on tearing down Qualcomm, the chunk of real estate that it sits on is pretty valuable.

Did you seriously suggest Riverside as a place to move an NFL franchise?

Well, the Raiders would love it anyways. They would no longer be the laughing stock of the NFL if the Dolts moved to Riverside.

Back to Los Angeles? It would be easier on NFL Schedule making.

Somewhere in L.A.? That is where they started, would make sense to go back.
