I am 35 weeks pregnant with my 1st and I know I shouldn't compare myself to other pregnant women as we're all different, but I can't help it. I feel like my belly is small and it worries me. I look more like 5-6 months pregnant, then close to 9 months! My doctor measures me and doesn't seem concerned but I can't help but worry that my baby is going to be very small or that she's not growing properly. Plus I have been carrying super low this entire pregnancy and not high like most women. Baby looked good at my 22 week ultrasound though. Am I worrying too much?

I had a huge belly-people thought I was going to have twins. The doctor thought my son would be at least 10 pounds based on measurements. He was preparing me for a c-section, had the talk and all. I delivered a 7 pound baby vaginally, he came so fast the nurses had to run and get the doctor.
So just by looking at a belly you have no clue how big the baby will be. My best friend had a tiny belly like you and her babies were 8 pounds.

I've had three babies and I'm pretty small. After having three children in the past 3 years I weigh right now 122lbs. Everyone always said how little I was when I was pregnant even at 9 months! I had my first who was 6lbs 6 oz and the next was 8lbs 5oz and my third was 7lbs 13 oz....so it really doesn't matter what size you are because the baby will be the right size that your body can handle. It's amazing how a small woman can hold an 8lb baby and look tiny and a larger woman carry a 6 lb baby and look really big. I always wondered why that happened...but it's true. I wouldn't worry too much ...many many small women have given birth to healthy babies at just the right weight. The average weight for babies is anywhere between 5-9 lbs. I'm sure you're in that range. Not only that but you're in your 35th week, I'd say most of my growing happened the last 3 weeks so you definitely have time. Most of the babies grow the absolute most in the last month. Good Luck!

Yes you worry for nothing. I measured small all throughout my pregnancy. So much so that my doctor ordered ultrasound after ultrasound to check the babys growth. I was very worried but everything always looked great. I delivered a healthy baby girl Oct 9th. She weighed 5lbs 14 ounces and was 19 inches. She now weighs 13 pounds! And is growing like a weed. As long as you are taking care of yourself your baby will be fine. Don't worry! Also I am a pretty small person myself and my doctor told me that may be the reason why I had such a small belly. Just be glad that you are not as uncomfortable as most pregnant women, plus I think you can still do alot more things than most at 9 months. I rode a bike everyday til I was 8 1/2 months pregnant.

Yes! I have a 10 month old baby right now and I was CONSTANTLY told that I was so small. I carried her full term and I was told by doctors, nurses, family and friends that I looked like i was 5 or 6 months! It got to the point that I asked for had another ultrasound done to see if everything was okay. I gave birth to a 7 lb 12 ounce 21 in baby! She was very healthy and beautiful. Try not to worry as long as your ultrasound is good your baby should be fine. Good Luck and congratulations!

People always told me I looked small. I had a healthy 7lb 10 oz baby boy. How you look from the outside is no indication of the size of the baby. If the doctor is measuring you and not concerned you have no reason to be. Every woman carries different, some way out front or down low, and some carry back more. Carrying back makes you look smaller from the outside.

The last 4-6 weeks of pregnancy is when your baby puts on the most weight. Your baby will start to gain about a pound a week. If your doctor isn't worried I wouldn't be either. Your doctor would tell you if there was something to be worried about. Your baby just might be smaller. My second child only weighed 6 pounds and she is still tiny. She is one now and she still fits in 6-9 month old clothes. Your baby will be perfectly healthy if you carry to full term. I wouldn't worry too much.

I feel the same way..I am 34 weeks and measured 34 yesterday and my husband compares me to everyone else. I eat good and do what I am supposed to but my doctor told me I would probably have a small baby. I wouldn't worry about it. Just be glad you are small and able to move around unlike some women at that stage!!! I am glad I am small but no one really notices I am pregnant, which is good because sometimes I just don't feel like talking to strangers about my belly and my baby!!!! If your doctor is not concerned you shouldn't worry about it!!! Your baby will be healthy and beautiful!!! Good Luck!

My best friend was the same way. She was tiny (looked 5-6 months) at 35 weeks. I was kind of worried about her too, but didn't say anything. At 36, 37, 38 and 39...she blew up like a balloon. I guess she wanted to wait till the last month! She had a healthy baby girl 7lbs 14oz! Good luck, and don't worry.
