Yes that does sound like gas... reasons could be hes not being burped enough or simply you could try different burping positions.. if he is still like this all gassy you could lay him down either in his bed.. and do bicycle legs with his where you move his legs as if hes riding a bike or roll his legs up towards his tummy to help push out the gas it helps big time he can be asleep or awake when you do this it can make a difference.. thou there is also meds u can give your little one that also helps its called oval or gripe water they help with colic, hiccups, gas and so much more. Then there is just sometimes when all you can do is just hold him rub his back having him laying on his tummy on your tummy lay yourself either down or comfy in a reclining chair changing from rub to a light burping pat if s/he starts to fuse a little from discomfort in this position just give him a little bit of a rock or bounce.. I hope this helps you lots I know how it feels to have a baby go through that it sucks since you just feel so bad when you dunno what to do when they are so uncomfortable..

Ok don't do the onion. Onions cause gas. This is probably gas so there might be an air bubble or is could be a more colicy gas. If you are breast feeding look at what you are eating and drinking. Watch the spicy, greasy, gassy (broccoli, onion, beans, asparagus, soda) foods. If you are bottle feeding you might try switching to either a soy formula or one with partially broken down proteins. If that doesn't work try the Carnation Good Start, a lot of people have good luck with it.

To me it sounds like gas, or air bubble. You can buy over the counter meds for this and put a few drops in his milk at night. If he is feeding off of mother just use a little droper to give it to him. My mother would say dice up a onion(small peice) and slip in his milk. I have not tried this and every day still wonder how I lived through my childhood!

P.S. I have a two year old so I to feel your pain.

This sounds like constipation. When this happened to my daughter, I nursed her more frequently and the straining and grunting went away. If you are bottle feeding, your doctor can help you figure out how to get more water into baby. Don't be afraid to use gas drops. If the medicine helps, you've figured out the problem. If it doesn't help, gas is not the issue. Best of luck to you and your baby!

It sounds like he is gassy, especially after the feeding.

As long as he is pooping (not red or black poop) and peeing his digestive system is working.

A baby's body has to learn to disgest and it can be crampy and unpleasant.

However, if you are breast feeding avoid chocolate, coffee and gassy foods like onions and celery till he is a little older.

Drink plenty of water and if he is constipated drink prune juice about 5 minutes before you feed - it amazing how you can fix their tummy troubles indirectly through the breast milk.

He might be constipated. My boy was. He made pretty much the same noises that you are talking about. Give him a little water between bottles of formula or milk.
