Most likely your Multi-function Switch (T-Sig Switch ) has bad
or broken contacts inside, which is an all too comon problem and
will have to be replaced as an assembly.... by a qualified Tech.

What you need to do, is pull out the gauge cluster, then turn on your blinkers, you will here a click/fizzle coming from a little black and white box. That needs replaced. It is your blinker control thingy. i dont know the right name for it, but more then likely thats your problem. Its $8 at radio shack.
Now your hazard flashers have a different control box. So just because your hazards work fine, doesnt mean your blinkers will.
Now if your hazards dont work either, then you have some bad wiring. It could be a shorted out wire, it could be a loose connection. The only way to determine this, is to start wiggling wires. If you wiggle all the wires, and you still have the problem, then you have a shorted wire, and it needs to be replaced. Its easy if you have a solder iron and some wire.

You have to start by walking around your car and inspecting all the lights. Turn all of them on with the hazard lights on and check. If any are out, go to this light and check power and ground supplies to the bulb's socket. Trace back and repair. These cars had some serious problems with grounds at or underneath the battery tray on the frame rail. The grounds would corrode so bad that there would end up being an open circuit. These cars also had some very cheap wiring installed in the front light circuits. The wires appear okay but the inside of the copper wire would be filled with corrosion. They did have some trouble with the multifunction switch as well, but check the other stuff first. Good luck.

It may be the blinker switch itself. I'd first check to see if all bulbs are working properly. Including stop lights, turn signals, and the night time running lights. If you detect a stop or running light not operating change it and you should be all set. If it still does not you properly check the lighting fuses. Open your Manuel in your glove box. There is a page displaying your fuse panel layout (what fuses control each item in your car). Good Luck!

the turn signal switch and hazard switch are one in the same. They are known for this going bad. Unfortunatly it's located on the steering column and the steering wheel must be removed for service. The air bag must be safely dis-armed to remove the steering wheel so for safety's sake take it to a pro and have them take care of it for you.

you have gotten a bad flasher. they are much less costly and common to change. they are many times placed on the fuse block on the drivers facet decrease than the dashboard. in simple terms unplug the previous one and plug interior the recent one. There are many times 2 of them. One runs the turn alerts and the different runs the emergency flashers. in case you elect, you may change them to work out if that's what the situation is. wish this facilitates and solid success
