A very simple: "Please see the attached resume in consideration for the X position"

Something like that. Keep it short and to the point.

You could say something like:

"Attached to this email are a cover letter and resume for the position of __ at _____. If you have any trouble opening the attached files, please contact me at: {email address and/or phone number)

You might even insert a sentence with the names of the files that are attached to the email. Like,

"The files are named Resume.doc and Cover Letter.doc." That sentence before the "if you have any trouble..." sentence.

I would keep it brief, something like:
"Dear xxx, Please find attached my cover letter and resume in connection with the vacancy for a xxx. I would be very pleased to meet you to discuss my application further."
But are you sure they mean you to attach the cover letter? It would be more usual to have the cover letter in the body of the email and attach the resume.

i've got been having this situation for the final 3 weeks. Its purely yahoo mail for me too, yet what unusual is that in case you employ the yahoo mail app the messages ensue in simple terms fantastic. shall we stick at the same time in this. If every person shows a answer (or in simple terms a proof) be certain to submit it!

Use your cover letter as the body of your e-mail. Adjusting, of course, for the electronic medium. Worked for me, it's how I got my current job.
