Teachers and staff of any teaching environment should be well trained in self discipline with good moral values, ethical behavior and professional standards of conduct. Loyal, honorable and well taught in their specific subject.

Without these traits, you have no teacher. Why should a student listen to anyone less?

This no one will like hearing it but Scripture teaches this way
2 Corinthians 3:18 "Be we all, with open face beholding as in a glass, the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord."

Keep knowledge based communication only. Do not gossip on any personal issues. Develop good academic friendship with students. Get hints for better working from other experienced and skilled teachers. Try to update styles in classroom communication for better impact on students. Do not get engaged in the internal politics of the institution. Be punctual. Have your own specialised identity among the students and other teachers, still respect the mass based programs.

As human not some unatural notion of what somone is supposed to be... ie kiss their partners if there as the kids would theres...

The teachers who had the most respect from us and I had a bad class were those who were not trying to be squeeky clean as considered genuine and ok.

Likewise If a teacher aggreed something was boring but we needed to learn it then its like all in the same boat.

Good teachers however stamp/assert dominance in the first lesson to say hey im boss, I may be nice and fun but im boss.

Then be cool and friendly.

To be there to help social problems like bullying, like say somone wants to know how to get someone to like them or know if someone does helping out with relationships... get the shy or kids struggling to fit in to do so. Even if telling them to be naughty in a class the once to show not a goody too shoes wimp then hopefully other kids back off them and they can study especailly if used knowledge to do something a bit naughty... not nasty.

Ie help the kids grow, be a mentor, be real not some notion of perfection, To kiss boy and girlfriends or husbands and wives just like the kids would.

Stories of what they got up to when young also gets cred and respect like cool teacher dont give him hastle and listen to him.

Ie become hero and mentor and someone they look up to on their values.

Sometimes may have to get tough with tough kids and would be fine them getting physical with someone else who was going for another kid of them...

Also a good teacher is one who got up to all the trickes when they were a kid knowing were smoochy corner, smokers corner is, who can tell if a kid is drunk or stoned etc...

Who if kids were dating would have a word and hand them condoms. Ie take an active realisitic role.

And to know their stuff and be enthusiastic about it. Making it interesting and relavant...

ie starting up a robot warts club to teach engineering...

if kids what to trash other school robot they have to learn and wont want to let others messing around mess up their chance of winning.

The nurdy kid also here gets status.

Also having done stand up and being able to put down hecklers helps to...

Some kid calls a teacher fat ****... class laughs sees him as dominant.

Teacher goes only reason why is every time a bone yo mumma up the *** she gives me a cream puff...

Win to teacher, they are dominant, have respect, the kids put down and others unlikly to try.

Dominance restablished

Very broad question, but generally they should behave in a calm, proffessional, authoritive way. Children should be treated equally and fairly (no favourites etc). Children should be afforded the same rights and respect as would be given to an adult. Their educational and personnal support needs should be met.

it should go back to the old days. nuns ruling with an iron fist. rulers being slapped across the knuckles of bad little boys and girls, such as yourself. detention should be handed out for breathing out of turn. unfiroms for everyone. with ties for guys and bows for girls. so much homework should be given so that kids dont have time to get in trouble. if homework isnt finished, detention. you dont serve all your detentions, you dont move on the next grade. forget all this kids rights and what not. kids dont have rights, teachers should be able to do whatever they want.

They should be friendly but if a pupil is rude to them or abusive (physically or mentally) then they should be allowed to punish them whether that be lines or the belt!

I believe it would solve alot of todays problems.

Yes I am a mother and I still think the old ways are the best.
