im with my bf since a year back and we are very much in love but his family expects him to marry a woman from "their community", if he dont they might want to cut all contact with him. He told me im the right person for him but he's not ready to marry now and this pressure on him from family makes him feel bad, when it comes to live together without marriage it would be a shame for his family as well. What can I do ???

He needs to be a man and live his life, not some crazy expectations of this families. Nothing you can do, just depends on how much he really cares for you.

Find a guy who's family isn't a bunch of nutcrackers... Why commit to a lifetime of this? There's nothing you can do about other people's attitudes... Just about the ONLY thing you can do is to carefully choose people you associate with (this includes choosing your life partner). Choose wisely, and with your eyes open. They have let their position be known, now it's your move - do you push for it anyway, knowing that it will create a lifetime of problems between your b/f, his family and ultimately between him and you; or do you look for a person who comes from a background similar to yours.

Try not push the issue or you might run him off. If he starts having to choose between you and his family he will probably choose the family. If you guys live together keep it a secret until you know that nothing can break you up.

Tell him to balls up if he loves you then he does. Sounds like his family doesnt LOVE HIM..... noone should tell you not to marry someone just because they dont like them.

This is really a decision that your bf has to make, and you support what ever he decides to do.
