Yes. Hippopotamus always does it for me. But also lots of everyday words -- shoe, brunch, banana... pretty much anything I think.

Any word that is said repeatedly will sound odd. This is why most people do not waste their time doing this.

I think any word will sound strange when your repeat it over and over again.
It's mostly everyday words that do it to me: baby, potato, puppy, look etc.

For me some words are weird when I write them down. I'll write down a word, and it dosen't look right.....even when I know it's spelled correctly...........off to the dictionary.....

i do...i think any word can start to sound funny...i like your examples...'toy' can sound funy to me and so can 'boat'...sometimes i even question if it really is a word after it starts to sound wierd.

The word "the" does it for me, believe it or not.
