After you have taken your pills for AT LEAST 30 days straight, I would think that it would be okay for you to stop w/the condoms. It takes 30 days for the birth control to get into your system. Just remember to use condoms when taking antibiotics or any other meds. that may interact w/your birth control.

In theory, that is the idea. But you must realize, taking BC pills does not guarantee you will avoid pregnancy. There is still a chance. You decrease your risk while on the pill and still using a condom. But the only 100% method to avoid pregnancy and STDs is abstinence.

Just remember, you can still get pregnant on the pill (or with a condom). Nothing but abstinence is 100% effective. Nothing. There are lots of women on here everyday saying they were on the pill and still got pregnant.

A little FYI......I was on the pill when I got pregnant. Just because you take the pills doesnt mean you can be careless. I was married when I got pregnant and was ready for a family if it happend! Just because you are faithful doesnt necessarly mean your partner is. Tested today...STD's tomorrow!

Eve if you have been checked some can be dormant and not show in the beginning esp HIV. You can still get pregnant on the pill. Just be cautious.

Only if you want to risk alot more than a baby. Children are a blessing, diseases are not.
