I also have a meeting to go to that night. He hinted toward asking it off and then I told him I had a meeting to go to and he was really disappointed. I wish I could get out of the meeting but it's mandatory. I want to do something really special since it's our first one together. I don't care if we go out or if we buy presents, I want to DO something for him. But we won't be together until 9 or 10pm. Any suggestions on what I might do. Should I have him ask it off? Should I do something during the day? HELP!

First off, I can't get out of the meeting and it's not for work. It's for a charity group I belong to and that night we are swearing in two new members and It has to be done that night. All officers MUST be present; the three of us who are young and have boyfriends are the only ones who complained but still, no dice.
Second, We have special date nights and things like that all the time, like yesterday we finally had a whole day together. We hung out in bed most of the morning, went to the zoo in the after noon and then to dinner. We went home and watched a few of our favorite shows, drank some wine and went to bed together. I just want to make our first "Lovey Dovey" holiday fun and sweet and memorable.

You have a mandatory meeting on V-Day? Maybe you should bring it to managements attention and ask if it can be rescedualed, surely you're not the only one who objects! If you have to go to your meeting anyway, do something afterwards. Yes, have your man take the day off! Have a nice candle lit dinner, even if it's take out. Rent a romance movie and cuddle all night. The Titanic is good for that. Stay up all night together, go for a stroll after dinner in the moon light. I'm sure it will be special even if it is after 9pm! Roses are roses and love is love no matter what time it is!

are you able to get off the subsequent day? I mean have a good dinner on Valentines day after artwork, candle mild and the entire bit at homestead then spend the subsequent day only being at the same time. Valentine's day is only what it truly is, an afternoon..you could make it a wide-spread ingredient in case you opt for..Do you already understand what i'm holding? to boot each little thing it truly is Valentine is 50 to seventy 5 % off the subsequent day..

You should not need one special day, everyday should be special. Maybe I am just jaded after being married for so long. Have a special day another day.
