If her period is normal, It should be safe to have sex 7 days after her period and 7 days before her period, Example her period ended on the 14th it will be safe on the 21st- thru 5th or 7th depending if she is every 28 days. I did it for 3 years. And did not get pregnant until I wanted it to.

Unless a woman charts her cycles and knows when she ovulates, there is no real safe period.

Even if you chart a know when you ovulate, there is always the possiblity of ovulating early or later. You just can't be sure.

Sperm can live a maximum of 5 days (more typically 2-3 days) and the egg lives 12-24 hours but you allow 48 hours after ovulation in case she ovulates twice. That means there are a total of 7 days when a woman can get pregnant.

If she knows she has ovulated for sure it is safe to have sex without a condom. But, again, she has to know for sure and be educated about her cycles.

Every girl is different, but if a girl is usually pretty regular her period week will start on a sunday regardless of what day her period actual starts. Her period will usually last 3-5 days hopefully ending on the next sunday. She will then have maybe 3 days in which she will not get pregnant. If she is not regular I would say that 2-3 days after her period ends she will not get pregnant.

There is no "safe" time to have sex without a condom! You could still end up with an STD even if there was such a thing! Grow up and do some more research. If your asking this question you shouldn't be having sex!

You can only get pregnant during ovulation. Ovulation happens on average 10-16 days before the onset of her next period. Sperm can live up to 5 days. To be absolutely certain she will need to chart her basal body temps each and every morning. Pick up the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler.
