I have asked this question already and I think that I needed to better explain myself.
I work with the public. My boss is very rude to customers and employees alike. She makes working at my job so miserable for everyone. Everybody that has left this job has left on account of her. She treats ppl like they are stupid and like she knows everything. Everyone in the company (including her boses) baby her so that they will not have to argue with her. It's easier just to let it go because she will argue all day on pointless stuff. When she doesn't get her way or someone dissagrees with her she just yells in a confused way. So what my question is, should I go over her head and talk to human resources....or would it be pointless?

I think you really should talk to Human Resources. Nobody should be made to feel unimportant at work. You are there to do your job and there should be a comfortable and friendly environment for you to do that. The bosses seem to be afraid of this individual and when you are speaking to the HR person, ensure that you make it clear that you hate when there is favoritism at the workplace. Also let them know that you are not the only person having a problem with this individual. You could even go a step further and have the other employees sign a petition.

You have to understand that no matter what the situation looks like, going around your boss's back toget her fired is trecherous and deceitful. It's not the right thing to do in any circumstance. Instead, you need to focus on improving *your* work environment, be proactive about *your* work situation and address the things that concern *you* which, coincidentially, is your boss.

It sounds like your boss has a variety of problems that make her difficult to work with. If other people have similar interactions with her, no doubt HR is aware of it. Instead of focusing on getting her fired, why not focus on improving your interactions with her. You can talk to HR about that. It's both constructive an appropriate for your situation.

Good luck.

Everything you have said is subjective. You really don't have a case, so I wouldn't recommend that you try to get her fired. There must be a reason why she is the boss; maybe her role demands her to be tough and terse. Perhaps she does her job well, but you don't get to see that side of it. Are you really so naive to think that your boss' boss will fire her just because you don't like her personality? Sure, you can go directly to HR but risk making your relationship with your boss evern worse. Why don't you try to befriend your boss to find out her likes and dislikes, then use that to your advantage. Sounds like you're trying to be the office hero.

If your boss doen't get the joke, you should take over the company or find a better job. Of course you put the cables back yourself, right? If not, the boss is the least of your worries! peace

Document every single thing that happens. Put down everything that happened, when it happened, and who witnessed it. Once you think you have a case, take it to HR. It sounds like nobody there has the stones to get rid of her. This should get the ball rolling.
