Everyone is as arrogant as they seem at times. It's the "seeming" that does it. When someone "seems" to be arrogant, they "seem" to be so to someone who perceives the behavior and catergorizes it as "arrogant." It's a matter of perception.

We are not arrogant.
All we do is speak our minds (normally at the wrong time) and try to make our views known.
It wasn't that long ago that we were famous for our 'stiff upper lip' and the posher members of our society.
Remember, 'Mad dogs and Englishmen go out in the midday sun'.

Most of the people that consider us as arrogant seem to think that it is because the English people invaded and virtually ran 3/4 of the world in our past.
You may bear that in mind but WE sure as hell don't.
As far as we are concerned, what's past is past and why, oh why, did we give back the best countries!!

I am English and I am not the least bit arrogant.

Arrogance is a trait I absolutely cannot tolerate.

It's like saying 'are all Americans war mongerers and liars?'

No they aren't, there is no difference in English and American people other than our accents and where we live, and obviously the way our Countries are run.

So the answer to your question is No, why are you asking anyway, to be annoying?
