I am Married and may be pregnant. If I am it is not such a horrible thing, we can manage. We have an annual income of about 50,000, not alot but more than many.
I am one month late, but 4 neg tests, will go to the doc soon.
I feel like I am losing valuable planning days by not knowing for sure, but once I know, I don't know what to do lol! I want to be as ready as possible.
What advice can you give a pregnant woman?
What financial advice can you give to a possibly expecting couple?

If you think your pregnant but home pregnancy tests just aren't easy to believe, see your dr. Dr's are the only ones who know for sure. This happened to a friend and it was nothing more than a simple blood test. good luck

I'd go to the doc. then and have a blood test done. My poor husband is the only one working right now due to my rough pregnancy and past of miscarriages. Start satting money aside right now for the child even if it's 5 to 10 dollars a week or every 2 wks. it adds up after a while. As far as the symptoms you might be stressing over possibly being pregnant and this is your body's way of preparing itself cause you're minds telling it it should be getting ready for a baby. GL either way....

Well Princess, I'm a man so I can't really talk to whether you are pregnant or not, except that my wife experienced your symptoms and we went to the doctor right away and she was only a few weeks pregnant. But I listen to Dave Ramsey's money talk program most every day and I can tell you he has some GREAT advice about money and LIVING.
At this point in your lives where you have a "cloud" of unknown or a future event, you should simply sock away every extra dollar you have into an emergency fund (for baby expenses).
For a better understanding of his "life cycle" finance plans, read his book The Total Money Makeover. His web site is www.daveramsey.com and you can find radio stations that carry his program in your area.
Good Luck

Advice for the pregnant woman:
* See a Doctor or better a Midwife!
* Stay healthy & active.
* Take your prenatal vitamins. You can get them OTC!
* Walk alot!
* Educate yourself as much as you can not only about pregnancy BUT more on LABOR & DELIVERY!!! (Your body, so long as you take care of it will grow the baby fine...But getting the baby out is something YOU do, so know as much as you can. A GREAT book is THe Thinking Woman's GUide to a Better Birth by Henci Goer & the "What To Expect" series!
As far as financial advice:
* Save as much as you can, hidden costs can be huge!!!!
(we planned on vaginal delivery & ended up with a c-section, the anistisiologist wasn't covered ( they didn't tell us at the hospital) we had to pay like $9000)
* Have a friend or relitive give you a shower & register so you get what you want but at no cost to you! Gear is pricey!!!

I started saving money as soon as I found out. You will need money for baby things, medical expenses and if you take off work once the baby is born. Just put a little away every month and you will be fine.
Most docs wont see you until you are around 12 weeks anyway, so you may not get in right away.

Financial advice....
Don't be to proud to accept hand me downs. Ebay is a wonderful thing for baby clothing. I got most of my babies 0-3 and 3-6 month clothing off of ebay. Look for "Lots" and always double check shipping prices, combine where able. I got over 500 pieces for $75 that was $35 for the lot and $40 for shipping. It worked out fantastic. All good brand name clothing too.
Pregnancy Advice...
Take it easy and relax. You don't have to prove anything to anybody. I worked at the office up to 8 months pregnant and walked there every day, one day on my walk there i got stranded, the whole side of my uterus clamped up and I couldn't walk anymore. Turns out i tore a uterine ligament (there are 4) in my lower right quadrant... and then my round ligaments got in on the crampy fun too. Anyway long story short.. don't push yourself too much, just because you can do it doesnt' mean you should.

Try to save some money(babies are expensive) i found that i thought i had everything we needed and wound up spending hundreds on stuff i hadn't thought of. Also start taking prenatal vitamins. I took Materna, they are supposed to be the best. And the best thing you can do is try to relax and get lots of sleep and enjoy your pregnancy, don't worry too much about the money, my husband and i have about the same amount of money and we make due, we just had to cut back on somethings like, eating out and buying things we didn't need. And i have been home with my daughter for 2 years and love every minute of it. GOOD LUCK!!!!

I had to scare myself into quitting. that's gross and under no circumstances effective, yet I saved questioning about giving start to a nonetheless born or having a new child die in that's crib. that's morbid regardless of the indisputable fact that it made me not opt for to remove darkness from a smoke. i became also clinically determined with placenta previa and that i became advised it would want to were brought about from smoking. I study a lot about it and that i became afraid of that too... the perception of a hysterectomy at 22 or bleeding to death on the shipping table are really solid scare aspects. also replace your elementary... I give up going to the gas stations that recognize me and continuously had my cigarettes waiting. I blended up the order I do issues (like morning elementary). I also give up doing the flaws that made me want a cigarette and after I went out i'd really draw close to my non-smoking friends so as that i does not be tempted. I fell off the wagon a pair circumstances yet i did not enable that make me imagine that i might want to easily keep smoking... regardless of if I had one, i'd say that i have give up and gave it a good harder attempt.

my best friend didnt get a positive pregnancy test from the doctor or home test till she was 5 months pregnant. your best bet is to tell your doctor you want an ultrasound done if his test is negative to. if you are pregnant and you are one month past your missed period they will be able to tell you for sure that way. as far as financialy. get the baby room ready little by little, until it is ready and try to save enough cash for anything that you may realise you need after the little guy is born. and remember that they eat a good bit to so your food bill will go up. i hope this helped.

If you are pregnant and you want it..there is nothing to do but take care of yourself in order to bring forth a healthy baby.
You don't have to go over the top with the expense. Poor people all over the world manages it...So you will cope.
If you are...have a happy time.
