I was a huge Dixie Chicks fan before the whole bashing-the-President episode, and I just can't stomach them anymore. While I agree that Natalie had the right to voice her opinion, we had the right to voice ours by not purchasing their product. And when you work in the entertainment industry, you have to realize that your opinions directly affect your public image.

I thought what they did was AWESOME, because everyone else was trying to be politically correct and "patriotic",what they did was patriotic because they disagreed with the war along time ago when everyone else believed the lie that we were given by our government officials and I commend them for it. And now almost the whole country is looking at this war as a mistake, so why should they apologize for their Constitutional freedom of speech right? This new song is just saying that they are not sorry and are not ready to make nice after all the crap they were put through..

Why do you care so much? I find it ironic when people preach for the war as "fighting for our freedom". But yet the same people turn around and banish the Dixie Chicks from country radio just because of the way they feel. I like the song. They are just voicing their opinion once again and they are "capitalizing" on that? Please, I find you upsetting.

You try being in their shoes and see if you don't wanna ***** and complain about it. Everyone has a right to their own opinions and a right to freedom of speech. I think this says it all ......
" I made by bed, and I sleep like a baby,
With no regrets and I don't mind saying,
It's a sad sad story
That a mother will teach her daughter
that she ought to hate a perfect stranger.
And how in the world
Can the words that I said
Send somebody so over the edge
That they'd write me a letter
Saying that I better shut up and sing
Or my life will be over"
I think that you fail to realise they are refusing to apologize for Natalie speaking her mind, and why should they?

I know Pervy. Nice guy - volunteers for children's charities, regular church goer and a real family man. Straps himself under a donkey on occasion, but let's not be judgmental.

I LOVE THAT SONG!!! Whatever happened to "Freedom of Speech". I may not agree with what she said but she still has the right to say it. In my opinion, if Toby Keith had stayed the hell out of it, when she made that comment, it would have blown over in days but he's got an even bigger mouth than she does so we'll be hearing about it forever. But I do love the Dixie Chicks and ALL of their songs. I play this one loud!! Again, I LOVE THAT SONG!!!!

Its a song, if you don't like it ignore it. They are many more important things to get upset about.
