Yes of course, everyone at some point in their life will act a certain way only because they know they are being watched. It's human nature to not show a side of you that other people may deem different or wrong so one will hide that part of them.

It's just like when you are in a relationship and you are on your best behaviour (guys hold in their farts, women will not burp) that sort of thing but when you are used to someone, you become relaxed to be yourself. It's not an unhealthy thing unless you allow yourself to become obsessed with having a private "you" and a "public" you and you acquire 2 different personalities.

When you know people are watching you (like on the tv show Big Brother) you act in a way you think is of the norm or what others think is normal.. In general, it's best to just be yourself because if you don't then it may be a self-confidence thing.

Without a doubt. People are much more inclined to be on their best behavior when they know someone's watching. That's why video surveillance monitors are good deterrents against crime. And this isn't limited just to stealing or cheating, either. I think people are much more cautious and conservative in their words and actions in general when they know they are being watched.

Of course....for most people, the things they do when in "private" they may not behave the same way if they knew someone were watching.

Absolutely. It is almost impossible to observe someone without effecting the subject in some way.

Most definately. We all want people to think better of us. Therefore, if we know we are being watched, we are on our best behavior.
