Check the protection level on the Norton Firewall. If its set to block all it shuts down the internet... It's the setting that it changes to if it detects an external attack..

It will be Norton try looking in the firewall which is built into Norton and unblock your internet from there.

If you don't know what you have to do with Norton IS, just disable or uninstall Norton IS. Go to the site www.zonelabs.com and download Zone Alarm software for free and install it. It works well and is easy to use.

the security is set too high lower it down or go to the blocked things and give acces to the internet.

get rid of norton!!! There are much better anti-virus programs out there!
