Okay... I have a jokester at work who has gotten me over an over again. He I guess is a big Star WArs fan, and likes to call anyone that he just got in a joke a "young padawan". He also uses that when me or anyone else tries unsuccessfully to get him back. Is there a term I can call him that would work in this situation?

He is a good guy and only means it to be kidding around. I just want to catch him off guard with saying something back....

Yes, call him a nerfherder. Leia called Han that...so then again, be careful, he might think you're coming on to him. I too am a Star Wars fan, but I don't let it come into real life situations. You could always tell him to grow up, he's giving genuine Star Wars fans a bad name.

If he calls you a young padawan, just remind them you will turn evil someday and comeback to kill them. Wait, that sounds rotten, but its what happened in Star Wars.
On second thought, maybe not a good idea. LOL

sounds like he is calling you a young padawan (jedi trainee or apprentice) after he teases you.. which would make him the jedi knight or jedi master (like Obi-wan or Yoda). So you could call him Obi-wan or Yoda... but if you manage to play a joke on him, you can say this line from Darth Vader
"The circle is now complete. When I left you, I was but the learner; now I am the master.!"
or if he gets you with a joke, tell him this line from Obi-wan:
"You can't win, Darth. If you strike me down, I shall become more
powerful than you can possibly imagine."
some easy names from star wars to call him are nerfherder or bantha poodoo or when he does something clumsy, call him Jar Jar!

while I did happen to really enjoy the Star Wars series, especially the original 3, I did not go APE S**T about the movies and I think that this guy has taken things too far. Just ignore him. Maybe he will learn how to socialize with normal behavior.

Young padawan - is like a young student or apprentice.
So you migth use it as well when he does something that would be done by a novice.
Hey! that Yoda idea is good as well.

i completely DIsagree with people who tell you to call him jedi knight or Yoda, that would make him feel superior, unless he trained you at your job or has tons more experience, even so, if he calls you young padawan, say "at least im still young, your an old padawan"

You could call him a whomp rat, but I think using Star Wars language will only encourage him. My prefered response to this would be "Grow up" or "Why not try being professional and see how it works for you?".

When he gets on your case, simply say this.....
"I find your lack of faith disturbing." When you do this pinch your forefinger and thumb together.
That should stop him in his tracks in his own world.
