you will have to have a c-section because there is to big a chance that your uterus can rupture durring normal child birth, causing danger for both you and your child.

Most if not all OB's will tell you that it is unsafe to deliver vaginally after c-section especially multiple c-sections, however that is not always true. You should seek a second opinion from a midwife & be sure to take your medical history records with you, so they can better assess the situation. Good books to get are: The Thinking Woman's Guide to a Better Birth by Henci Goer & Silent Knife, but I can't remember that authors name? Sorry! I am not pregnant yet, (I had a c-section with #1) and am trying to find a provider that supports VBAC (Vaginal Birth After Cesarean)!!! The best thing you can do is educate yourself on the subject & reasons why you had the other c-sections, if they were ral reasons at all! ( I will never have another child under the care of an OB unless it is a life or death situation!) Hope that helps!

I know somebody who had 2 c-sections and then decided on a homebirth. The Dr's were extremely concerned about the woman opting for a vaginal birth, let alone a homebirth, away from the hospital with expert help right on hand in case of an emergency. She stubbornly went ahead with the homebirth. In her case it all worked out ok and she didn't have a rupture of the womb, but it could have worked out differently. After every c-section the womb weakens, therefore it is highly unlikely they will agree to a vaginal delivery. Furthermore, you have had complications before, so a c-section would be the safest option for you and the baby.

I just saw a special on TV about this. The woman had 2 c-sections and was now wanting a vaginal birth. Her doctor would not do it because of the high risk of the original scars tearing. So she found a high risk doctor that would let her attempt to have a vaginal delivery. She did great. I think they called it a VBAC.-vaginal birth after cesarian. you could ask you dr or research it.

Usually once a C-section always a c-section. If you had a low transverse uterine incision you still have a chance to have a normal delivery. Talk with your doctor and consider reading what to expect when expecting. It has a lot of info on c-sections.

VBAC after 1 C section is risky but doable... VBAC after 2 C sections aren't done in most of today's hospitals because the risks of uterun rupture is high.

Yes it is true. You should not attempt a normal birth after two c-sections. It is possible but too risky and you usually end up in the emergency room.
