There are 2 main shopping streets in Mumbai where you can bargain like hell. They are Fashion Street ( Near Metro) and Bandra Linking Road where lots of roadside vendors as well as good expensive shops exists.

Other than that, lots of good shooping can be done in suburban areas like Andheri, Malad, etc.

Some good retail chains are Westside, Shoppers Stop, etc.

You can also check out Heera Panna near Haji Ali which sells electronics, music cds, and clothes for very cheaps. It's basically a sorta grey market stuff.

To get very cheap stuffs in perfumes, etc go to Musafir Khana (In south Mumbai). Any taxi will take you there. You get most of the items damn cheap out there. It's like MBK in Bangkok or China Town in Singapore.
