Does anyone know if Peter MacNicol has left the show Numb3rs to do 24 or is he just taking a break from one to do the other?

He is just taking a break to do 24. There is no word on when he will be back to Numb3rs, but it is a question of when, not if, he comes back. I believe he is also going to be directing a movie before he returns, so he could be gone for a while.
Personally, I hope he comes back soon. I'm a big fan of both shows, but I do miss Larry on Numb3rs.

What I read was that they (Numbers) left it open for him to come back if he wishes to.
