Giving is definetly better.

In a way it is ... when we're giving something we're hoping that we've picked the right gift and it will make someone happy, so in that moment of giving it is better ...

we like getting things and of course it's nature to want to be on the recieving end (to be taken care of) but sometimes we're disappointed in what we "get" and people forget it's not the gift it's the thought, and there are ungrateful people out there who show that disappointment.

I think morally many people think it is better to give, but it is human nature for most people to except gifts. For example, how many times do you give someone something, and not want anything back in return?

But I think giving is better overall, and sometimes you do feel really good about doing something for someone, like giving to a charity or volunterering.

But to answer your question, I would still say that most people think recieving is better.

I have focused on this allot in my life. I love to give but find it hard to receive. Giving a gift that brings joy to someone else heart feels so great but when someone does that for me it only brings pain.

We need to be equal on giving and receiving
