I think that the saying "Beauty is only skin deep, but ugly is to the bone" is correct. If you think you are unattractive then you won't care how you look on the outside or on the inside and no one else will find you attractive. But if you take care of yourself on the inside, like treat yourself to a big waffle cone of ice cream, a nice spa pedicure, you will make yourself feel good on the inside and that will outshine your outer beauty. I am not totally gorgeous, but my friends tell me all of the time that I am a beautiful person. I do things that make myself feel good. I shut down my entire schedule and do whatever I want to do. And attractiveness is not defined by the line of make-up in your bag. I wear Vaseline and that's about it. When's the last time you had a good laugh and felt good about something?

yes, and I believe that strength of character and a vibrant personality go a long way. Sometimes what's attractive about a person is just how different they are from you. Opposites attract and all that, but truly attractive people are the ones that captivate you, when they are around, you know it, and when they leave or aren't around you wish they were. Inner beauty and outer beauty have a role in how we see ourselves but when it comes to other people what you find attractive will be what you are looking for yourself, even if you don't know what that is.

Maybe you should start by asking yourself why you think YOU are unattractive . . . that may answer your question.

However, having said that, here's my take on the issue ~ ~

Yes, I do think that I'm somewhat attractive . . . and here are the reasons why:

I have a positive outlook on life - and hang around with people with positive attitudes . . . I stay away from negative people.
I laugh a lot.
I know how to listen to other people.
I take care of my skin.
I wear clothing that fits properly.
I wear colors that enhance my features (do not "wash me out" or compete with my skin tone and hair color . . . remember, just because a salesperson tells you something fits or looks good on you doesn't make it so ~ they work on commission and want to make a sale! You've got a mirror - or if you don't you should invest in a full length immediately - and you can tell if something fits or looks good).
I like myself. (If you don't like yourself, no one else will, either.)
I feel good in my own skin.

People like to hang around me because of all of the above . . . so therefore I must be attractive !

People who don't feel they are attractive aren't looking at the big picture. They aren't loving themselves for who they are on the inside. And people who don't have a positive body image may be so influenced by the media's portrayal of perfection that they feel they will never measure up. Look in the mirror everyday and tell yourself you are worth loving and work toward a goal that will make you feel proud or even a goal toward a healthier and better lifestyle. Be postive, love yourself for who you are and who you can become.

Attractiveness all comes from the mind, it's about confidence and being happy with yourself. In terms of looks, I would say you're attractive if you're an individual and you're make-up is not OTT. Boys hate that!
