Seeing that 'everyone' is going crazy about the Coach bags and similar type bags, can I still use my LV tote? Is it like 'passe'? I don't really fancy big bags. I am medium size and not tall and a big bag could really weigh me down. What do you think?

Coach is for people who can't afford LV or don't want spend a crazy amount of money on a bag. If you like it, wear it.

Use what you like. I don't own a purse that everyone is crazy about. I have purses that i love.
If you love your Louis Vuitton tote, then continue to use it, don't worry about fads. Big bags won't be in forever.
Some people are LV people and some are Coach people.
I used to carry around big bags, BEFORE they were popular, and everyone was asking me "why are you carrying such a big purse for?"
I just bought a yellow Isaac Mizrahi purse. He's my favorite designer, and you don't see yellow...and it was a very cute purse.

Designer bags are all a matter of taste. Louis Vuitton will always be in style, as will Coach, whose bags may be "less expensive" but whose quality is insurmountable. Both companies have been around for decades for a reason. I have several of each...

Bucket bags are "in" this season, and it doesn't matter what designer it is from. LV is a classic designer, and his styles will never be out of fashion. I applaud you on being a classy lady :)
