Because they don't want to admit they were wrong, or they are in denial.

I don't regularly attack liberals (though I will confront a PERSON, if I think they're wrong, whether conservative or liberal), and I will gladly admit if President Bush has done wrong, which I know he has. He's a human being, and if all his advisers are advising him incorrectly (which does happen, they're human too), he's going to make mistakes.
Since he can't see into the future (in that case, nor can anyone else with any amount of clarity, though some have been given the gift of infrequent foresight), he's going to make mistakes.
I could turn this question around a little bit:
Why do some liberals on Yahoo Answers state opinions disguised as questions about those they call "neocons" constantly, while refusing to acknowledge the flaws within the Democratic party, or the accomplishments of the Bush administration? Why are some of the liberals on Yahoo Answers so intent on slamming the opposition, that they overlook the plank in their own eye, metaphorically speaking? Why is it that some liberals on this site refuse to acknowledge the fact that there is hardly a single person that could have done any better than President Bush has done? Gore could not have. Read my blog to figure out why, or ask a Secret Service agent. I'm happy to give a hint: His hatred of Republicans would have prevented it. Kerry could not have. That one is self-explanatory. Clinton would have been too busy watching the polls to figure out which way the wind blew before he decided what to do, that is, IF he had been allowed to run for another term and had actually been elected.
I think it's so funny that so many on here are so quick to criticize, when they cannot name ONE person who could have done better with the issues that President Bush has faced. ESPECIALLY when they jump on those that they call "neocons."
I am a CONSERVATIVE, not a "neo-conservative", and I am proud to call myself one.
Make of THAT whatever you wish.

Regular conservatives, and Republicans attack liberals just as much as neo-cons do. Why is it that every lib thinks that anyone who opposes their views is a neo-con. Neoconservatism was started by liberals to begin with. You would think that libs would be able to tell the difference between a neo-con and a conservative. I guess the talking points that they get are not that deep.

Because the administration has made mistakes while using neocon policies. It is easier to say that things are being portrayed inaccurately (the media is so liberal, that's why it sounds like things are going bad in Iraq) than to confess your ideas (we will be able to bring democrarcy and stability to Iraq) were idealistic and not realistic.

Because liberals are generally wrong - wrong on facts, wrong on truth, wrong in their opinions and wrong in their interpretations of events (well, as told to them by the Lamestream media, who they believe unquestioningly).

Also, we disagree on what was actually a mistake. We see a number of what we consider mistakes, and those are the things you see as having been done right.

And, if you took the time to look at all the Q's & A's here, you'd find more liberal attacks, espcially ad hominem attacks, on conservatives than the opposite. Would you let the truth invalidate your feelings?
