That's good, and you're not wasting your time, but it's recommended to get at least 30 minutes of exercise daily. Lift weights, run or do something else, too, for 10 or 15 minutes a few times a week to really get in shape.

Wasting your time? NO. Making efficient use of your time? No. In order to maximize the results of your effort, you need to swim at least 30 minutes. 20-30 minutes is the necessary time for most cardiovascular exercises.

If you have had a proper workout prior to this 15 minute dip, you would see some results, but if all you are doing is spalshing around for 15 minutes, you are not doing yourself any good- above and beyond the standard better than watching tv stuff.

Good for you. Any exercise is good, especially swimming because it exercises every major muscle in your body. 15 minutes, 10 minutes, or even 2 minutes. Any exercise is better than none.

I would try to increase your time for better results. Like everything else the more you put into something the more you will benefit.

If you can at least 30 minutes per time.

3 x a week for 15 minutes is definitely better than watching tv.

If you have led a sedentary life before starting this program, you are definitely heading in the right direction.

congratulations!

After a month or so, you may want to step it up to 30 min

Then each month add another 15 minutes.

You can handle it!

the key is to get started, and that is what you are doing.
