How do you dress? Would you rather dress warm and toasty and comfortable? Or do you dress to impress no matter the cost.

The reason I ask is I seem to be in this lazy phase. I am unmotivated to dress nice for work. If i buy pants for work they are stretchy and comfy instead of sophisticated looking. So how do u resist the urge to bum? Or just what makes you want to look nice?

I'm a homemaker so I don't "go to work" everyday I hang out at home but I deffinately dress to impress when I go to the grocery store or Target or the mall etc.
When I go out at night it is no holds barred glam!
But my dailywear is my diamonds, fitted tees and jeans with my Chuck Taylors or a pair of heels.
Have confidence in yourself no matter what you're wearing or where you're going because first impressions last a lifetime.

I think it is much more important to be comfortable. At work, and everywhere, if you are comfy you will be able to do a better job. I could not imagine dressing uncomfortably. I try to pick pants that are comfy, and comply with the dress code. I would not work anywhere that would force me to dress in a way that I am not comfortable (both physically and mentally).

I think picking nice shirts and having a professional appearence with hair/makeup will make up for having less "sophisticated" pants.

I dress to be comfortable. Just pull a t-shirt over, pull up my jeans and slip into my sneakers and that is pretty much me from mondays to sundays. Sound like a guy? haha...i'm that easy. just a teenager by the way.

Unless there is like an occasion, someone's wedding or a nice dinner than i'll probably wear a nice top with skirt and nice slip-ons. When this need arises, I don't enjoy doing all this actually. No matter how many times people had praised me for looking good dressing up like a girl or nagging me to change my style, i just can't stop loving my t-shirts and jeans. :)

Always dress for the occasion, yes sometimes it is a lot of work and it would be great to be in those comfy cozy clothes, but I believe once your all put together you feel better about yourself and others will see that. In a work environment you actually perform better when you dress the part

I used to try to dress nice for work, dresses and nice shoes, etc. Now I wear jeans and tennis shoes only, and don't plan on changing. If I dress up, its usually for a funeral or other occasion.

Occasion definitely but be comfortable. Like dressing for and interview, you can't show up in sweat pants and jeans. Be comfortable but wear it to suit where you are going and doing.
