What rights do I have if all my id was destroyed?

All my I.D. was destroyed in a fire. I was born in alabama and my Drivers License was issued from Mississippi. I now live in Montana and suffered a recent fire. The Social Security needs photo id to replace my SS card. The DMV needs photo Id and either a birth cert or a social. Either way a photo id is required to get id. Ala. can send my Birth Cert for a small fee. Mississippi wants me there in person to replace my Driver License. I don't have a car. Also to fly,take a greyhound or take a train, you need photo id. Once I get my Birth Cert im still screwed! The only way to get to mississippi is to hitch hike,but with that I'll probably end up in jail or dead. What recourse do I have?Getting to Mississippi with little money and no transportation is impossible. I can't even cash my paychecks any more. I feel like a ghost. Dispite me being born in Alabama,I feel like I'm not even a citizen of the U.S. An illegal alien has more rights than me. They can leave this county, I CAN"T without ID

I guess you don't exist!! Pinch yourself to see if your real then get your birth certificate from where you were born. I am sure if your on the Internet you have some type of paycheck from working with a SS number on it. Light bill etc, renters lease, title to a home even if it burnt down will be filed in the County of residence. Quit whining and do something about the problem.

This person asked what rights did he have. If one does not have photo ID one can not get Photo ID. Drivers License,State ID cards,and Passports all require photo ID as a primary verifycation.Do the research.Try and live in todays world with out ID for a week! Impossible! I heard you could go to jail for not having any form of ID A birth certificate is only one document needed for photo ID. One can not even get a Social Security Card without a photo ID LostSouls if all your ID was destroyed, may god be with you, all you freedoms may be gone! The next contact you have with police will probably end up with you going to jail.

Seriously, find a way to get to Mississippi and stop whining. It's called life and resposibility. Deal with it.

You should have a bank account , then you would be able to at least deposit your checks. And you should have some sort of renters insurance and even a small savings in case something went wrong.

If you have none of those things, shame on your parents for not raising you to be responsible.

Doesn't the US have photo health cards? You should be able to get that a lot easier... if not, you should be able to explain the situation to greyhound. Also, are you sure the train requires a photo ID? I'd check out all of those options if I were you. Good luck :) (btw, once you have a photo health card, you should be able to take it to the SS with a pay stub and get your card back)

What are you going to do about the difference in your religious beliefs when the baby arrives. This sounds like a cause for concern and a baby will only make it a whole lot harder. You have been married a long time, no wonder your husband is ready for a baby but you have to be too. Will you be true to your word in another 12 months?

dont you have like an old school id or something? does your credit card have a photo on it? I think there are other alternatives. how about a passport? that has your photo on it.

in fact, why dont you get a passport? you dont need photo id, just a birth certificate and proof of address

Get your birth cert copy and get a license in Montana. You live there now right?
