I've now found cricket to be boring and in recent years.
Australia's mens side wins all the time and there is no competition.
Although I'm an Aussie, I'm glad England won the Ashes in 2005.
It's a pity there was a white-wash this time around in 2006-07 here in Australia.
Also Australia won the last 2 World Cups (One Day Tournament) and the ICC Champions Trophy in India or somewhere last year (whatever the purpose of the Champions Trophy is about, I don't know) No Americans in any at all will ever convert to cricket from baseball/softball.
Two Aussie Meat Pie companies are trying to sell Meat Pies in American Sports Stadiums, but the yanks are unlikely to go past the hot dogs though.
I used to play it with m dad growing up and in the nets with him (batting/bowling)

Even though, the first International Cricket match was played in 1844 between the Americans and the Canadians, they both don't play it and promote it professionally. The Americans only like fast, easy, and no brainer games. It will take Americans a long time to even understand the game. The Americans and the Canadians both are ICC members and have national teams. Canada other hand is getting a bit better at cricket thanks to the big Immigrant population there. They even made it to the World Cup Cricket 2007 in the Caribbean.

I think it would be more viable for people in the Southern section of the UK to take up baseball, because they are patently not any good at cricket. Either that or get some girls in to play for them - they couldn't do any worse.

America does not play baseball, only in the United States and Canada this game is played. As you know the United States is only a small part of America about 30% population wise.

Cricket doesn't involve a catchy song about peanuts and Cracker Jack. It'll never take.
Come up with a good tune and snack to be linked to the sport and we'll have something to talk about.
"Buy me some boiled food and fish and chips... I don't care if don't come with dips..."

What sort of sport is it when one batter can bat all day, and a single game can run on for days? Americans prefer a faster pace. If cricket were a sport for rugged men, it wouldn't be played in white trousers and sweaters.
