Please don't give the answer that the Iraq people are backward deeply religious people who are not just ready for total religious freedom. Today, United States is a deeply religious country, and it worked here for over two hundred years.
The good people of Iraq also deserve freedom of religion as quickly as possible to stop the present religious wars.

I don't think we're a deeply religious country... Shoot, I go to a Catholic school and we've got plenty of agnostics and atheists.

As for Iraq, I really don't think they want freedom of religion. And the U.S. really didn't start off with that freedom. For a long time there was religious persecution, and even in the colonies that were considered most accepting and democratic could kill anyone who denied Christ's divinity.

So... these things take time, first of all. And saying people have a right to religious freedom really won't stop the wars, because really, if they cared about law and order, they wouldn't be killing each other in the first place.

Second of all, we shouldn't even be over there, and who's to say we know anything at all about what's best for that country? But I guess that's just personal opinion....
